Closed rhinoplasty is performed from inside the nose, that is, by the endonasal method. The incisions are made in the inner part of the nose. The operation is performed under general anesthesia. The surgeon makes a small incision inside each nostril, while the skin of the nose is not completely separated from the framework. During the operation, small-sized special surgical instruments are used for precise work. Depending on the operation plan, the doctor may change or remove soft tissues, bone or cartilage. If necessary, an implant may be placed to give the nose the desired shape. In some cases, endoscopic instruments are used. The operation ends with the placement of internal sutures and the application of an external fixation bandage.
